An appointment with one of our cardiologists is a key part of your cardiovascular assessment. We offer several different consultant clinics depending on your concerns and symptoms.
Cardiac Consultation
Our general clinic with one of our highly trained and experienced cardiologists. If this is your first appointment with our cardiologists, the time allocated will be long enough to discuss the symptoms you have been experiencing and formulate an individual management plan. Depending on your history you may be asked to undergo diagnostic cardiac testing before the consultation or afterwards.
Cardiovascular risk assessment clinic
Run in combination with our radiology partners Apex. The aim of this clinic is to identify either patients with a future risk of cardiovascular disease and start risk reduction strategies or those with symptoms suggestive of coronary artery disease. If you have no symptoms but you and your GP are concerned about your individual cardiovascular risk this appointment will start with a coronary calcium score. If you have symptoms suggestive of coronary artery disease you will see one of our cardiologists for an assessment before potentially being referred for further diagnostic testing with a CT coronary angiogram (CTCA).
Rapid access chest pain clinic
We offer fast access for patients who have presented to local emergency departments with chest pain of unknown cause. We try to see all patients within 7days of your referral. When indicated, diagnostic stress testing is performed prior to seeing one of our cardiologists.
Tele-health consultation
We understand that sometimes traveling to one of our centres isn’t convenient. We offer our general clinic as a tele-health appointment if that is more suitable for you.
